How long does it take you to do a carving? Based on past commissions, it can be anywhere from one month to 2 years depending on the size of the piece. Do you use local stone? If I know the providence of the stone, but I take care to ensure the stone has not come from a blasted source and is asbestos free. For these reasons, most of my rock comes from a local professional supplier who guarantees these specifications. This personal connection gives me access to a wide variety of unique stone from around the world. How do I get started? Just give me a call and we can chat. We work to create agreement on concept and size for your sculpture. From there I provide you with conceptual sketches drawn to scale and search out a stone to meet those requirements. Often I will sketch on the stone after doing some rough out carving so you will see the piece coming to life. I can provide photos along the way so you can see the progress, or you can leave it for a surprise when it's completed. The choice is yours. What options do you offer for payment? I'm happy to offer creative financing options: -Installment payments -VISA & MasterCard -Deposit for commencement and balance on completion This is a wonderful way to balance the cost of purchasing an original, personal piece of art and allows the artist to have a monthly paycheck for a while. :) |
